It’s a 2-in-1 for the lab! To meet your daily culture and identification challenges, bioMérieux has created an exclusive range of bi-plates. On each bi-plate, a chromID culture medium is paired with another medium – either a conventional culture medium or another chromogenic medium. The selected cultures provide complementary information to quickly and easily give you a more complete picture about the pathogens that may be involved in an infection. Simultaneous identification is faster identification, and timely answers can contribute to better healthcare at the patient, institution and public health levels. For example, the chromID™ MRSA /chromID™ S.aureus bi-plate provides direct identification of Staphylococcus aureus and also allows you to screen for methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), an organism involved in healthcare-associated infections (HAI). Rapidly knowing whether S. aureus is resistant or not enables better decisions to treat patients and manage HAI.
